Driveway Expansion and Sump Drain Project

The retaining wall was completed today. What’s next? Trenching for both the sump drain and the wall drain, plus water line replacements, all need to get done. After that comes the forming and grading for the new concrete, followed by the actual paving work.

AJ gets a reprise of his picture in the local newspaper, this time in the Letters section, in which a county resident commented on his original picture, "Life doesn’t get much better than this...".

AJ once again appeared in the San Luis Obispo County Tribune newspaper, this time on the back cover of the "B" section, where letters from readers are published. Apparently, a reader sent in a letter about AJ’s picture that appeared on Page One a few days earlier. The letter says,

Thanks for the great picture on the front page March 7. A four-year-old, walking in the rain, wearing his Mickey Mouse sweatshirt, tootsie roll pop in one hand, pint-sized unbrella in the other and the security of knowing Mom and sister were right nearby.
Life doesn’t get much better than this. Particularly in light of the pictures we see now of children coming out of Afghanistan and many other parts of the world.
We have our problems, to be certain, here in America, but I wouldn’t want to live anywhere else.

The photo caption on this page reads, "A.J. Standley, 4, of Arroyo Grande, took cover from the rain in downtown San Luis Obispo. He was with mom Chris (sic) and sister Megan."

The Many Adventures Of Winnie The Pooh

We must believe that Jesus will invariably sustain us by His grace. We must fight like strong men, with strength of soul, and the prize will not be far off.
