"Doctor Judie" called from LPCH Stanford to say that Dr. Glader was not able to confer with Dr. Aceci about AJ’s case while at the conference they were attending. He will be consulting with Dr. Jeng, the new hire at LPCH’s Oncology department, who co-authored the recent study "Treatment of Children With Langerhans Cell Histiocytosis With 2-Chlorodeoxyadenosine" published in the American Journal of Hematology (69:179-184 (2002)). Until such time, we’ll be in limbo, not knowing when the next treatment will take place -- if any -- nor when the next evaluation scans will occur. |

Isn’t our good God far above anything we can conceive? Isn’t He more interested than we are in our salvation? How many times has He not given us proof of this? How many victories have you not gained over your very powerful enemies and over yourself, through the Divine assistance without which you would inevitably have been crushed?… If it was left to ourselves, my dear, to remain on our feet, we should never be able to do it.
-- St. Pio of Pietrelcina
